Luke 11:23 “He who is not with Me is against Me; and he who does not gather with Me, scatters.
Think about the mental picture that verse constructs….the laborer in the harvest field, tediously collecting the sheaves of grain manually, meticoulously ensuring that not one grain is wasted as the harvest is brought in. Contrast that to the person that Christ tells us who is not with him, but against him…….someone who methodically, deliberately and willingly takes the efforts of the harvestors and scatters the sheaves through the field, wasting the grain and destroying the ability of the havestors to prepare for the future. If we are not actively gathering, Christ clearly considers us to be actively scattering, there is no sitting on the bleachers sipping lemonade, watching the harvest take place.
You need to “pick your place”
